The Prime Minister has constituted a committee to revisit the Local Government Ordinance, 2001, Police Order, 2002 and the Code of Criminal Procedures, 1898 in order to remove weaknesses and improve the Local Government System. 10th Dec, 2008 President Asif Ali Zardari gave green signal to the National Reconstruction Bureau to formulate proposals to bring improvements in the local government system 10th Nov, 2008
